The Tungsten Carbide Flow Cage is a critical internal component for downhole gas lift or fixed valves. Designed as a rugged, cylindrical sleeve with precision-engineered perforations, it functions as a “heavy-duty armor” or a “protective filter” for the valve’s delicate internal core. It integrates three essential functions: protection, filtration, and throttling.

Mounted on the standing valve (bottom valve) or the primary intake of the pump, the cage acts as a critical sand barrier. It prevents particulates from entering the pump barrel, thereby eliminating the risk of pump sticking (jamming) and reducing abrasive wear on the plunger and barrel.
